PowerDynamo Systems
PowerDynamo produce ignition systems for single and twin cylinder 2-stroke and 4-stroke machines. These are shown below.
2-Stroke Road System

- 2-Stroke Road System - This includes all parts to completely replace your existing system
- 2-Stroke Race System - The race kits is self generating and does not therefore include a rectifier for battery charging purposes. The system uses a lightweight internal rotor for faster engine pick-up
- 4-Stroke System - The kit can be used for road or race applications. Each kit comes with an advance unit that provides upto 16 different advance characteristics allowing you to chose the best advance to suit your needs.
Rotors Types
There are three different rotors used in the PowerDynamo Ignition kits

| Our 2 stroke race kits come supplied with a 159g lightweight rotor. This allows for high engine speeds upto 22,000rpm and also improved engine pickup. You will experience reduced flywheel effect and may need to increase your engine tickover. | These rotors are common to all 2 stroke and 4 stroke kits. | By special request PowerDynamo has developed a heavy weight rotor for use in our big 4 stroke Motocross and off-road kits. These are generally available in 1.1kg and 2kg weights and your kit will specify what rotor is supplied. |

The PowerDynamo 2-stroke systems come with an inbuilt advance. The system is not programmable and provides the following advance characteristics
The 4-Stroke Advance Units
The PowerDynamo 4-stroke ignition kits include an advance unit which provides upto 16 different advance characteristics, so you can chose the advance that best suits your needs.
Three different advance units are produced and when you receive your kit you will be informed on the unit your kit supports and which advance setting is recommended for your machine.

Ignition Coil
All PowerDynamo Ignitions are supplied with either a single or double output coil. This is an encapsulated unit to provide reliable operation and protection against damp and oil.

Tachometers
For 2-stroke race systems the Scitsu tacho will operate with the PowerDynamo ignitions. For twin cylinder machines the leads should be attached to both HT leads.
For 4-stoke machines PowerDynamo can provide a kit to allow the MMB electronic tachometers to be employed.
